The finished sweater can be lightly felted by washing it on cold wool cycle in the washing machine and then tumble drying it with a couple of tennis balls. This gives the sweater a super soft and light structure.
Treating the sweater in this way makes it absolutely necessary to knit a sample and treat it like described above, as no two washing machine and tumble driers are the same. Our sample shrank 7 % lengthwise and 2 % widthwise. This should only be taken as a guideline and it is emphasised that treating the sweater in this way is entirely at the knitters own risk.
