Isager Lace Scarf Workshop / 2 x 3 hour sessions

Session 1: 10am - 1pm Saturday 3rd October
Session 2: 10am - 1pm Saturday 10th October

A beautiful lace scarf with delicate scallops - constructed from one ball of Isager Soft Fine! This is a really lovely quick make (perfect for gifting!) once you master the techniques. Over 2 morning classes, Kelly will walk you through the process of making your own.

Project description // First the ’body’ of the scarf is knitted, working back and forth with short rows. Then stitches are bound off at the beginning of the scarf for the first knot. Then a lace edge is knitted
sideways onto the scarf, so that the last stitch of the lace edge is knitted together with a stitch from the ’body’ of the scarf on every right-side row. At the end, stitches are bound off at the end of the scarf for the second knot.

Basic knitting experience required (e.g knowledge of knit / purl stitches).

Homework required in between classes - depending on how far you get in the first session, you will continue on using your skills learnt in the first lesson prepare your scarf for lesson 2.

Ticket fee includes tuition, tea/coffee and refreshments, Isager Lace Scarf Pattern and one ball of Isager Soft Fine (pick from our range on the day!).

You will need to bring:

• 4mm needles (we stock Chiaogoo and Seeknit)
• removable stitch markers (e.g Cocoknits Opening Markers)

All available to purchase at Calico & Ivy.

Our shop opens at 10am so we will be setting up before this time - as such, please arrive from 10am for a 10.15am start. 

Calico & Ivy is just a hop skip and a jump from the Swanbourne Train Station, or you can find car parking behind our shop. There are some lovely coffee shops on our strip if you arrive early!
