Isager Alpaca 2

Isager Alpaca 2 is a two-ply yarn that is a blend of 50% alpaca, 50% wool.  It is soft and perfectly suited to baby garments, as well as any garment where a soft, non-scratchy feel is desired.  Due to its softness, it is best suited to garments not exposed to too much wear and tear.  Soft yarns will never be as hard wearing as yarn spun from a firmer wool, which may also have been spun tighter.  Having said this, the yarn is beautiful and is very well suited to many projects, knitted alone and together with other yarns.

Gauge: with 3mm needles = 26 stitches/30 rows

Silk Mohair (on 4mm needles) = 18 stitches/24 rows

Alpaca 2 second strand (on 3.5mm needles) = 20 stitches/26 rows
