What you will practice with this bloomer sewing pattern: how to sew elasticated thigh casings, to elasticate a waistband, to sew removable shoulder straps.
Material suggestions:
- Woven: poplin, batiste, plumetis, double gauze, viscose, linen, light denim, chambray, seersucker, corduroy, flannel, soft wool sheet
- Knit: jersey, light fleece, French terry, pointelle knit
- Swimsuit : lycra
Fabric and trims:
- 1.5 cm (⅝") elastic for the waistband
- 5 mm (¼") elastic for the thighs
- Thin fusible interfacing for the shoulder straps option
